Most people become aware of the law of attraction and their thoughts immediately turn to riches. Makes sense, right? Wealth offers peace of mind and much freedom, why not ask for it from the abundance of the universe?


Being rich isn’t exactly the same as going to heaven, it’s not instant happiness. But ask anybody who’s been both rich and poor, and they will tell you that rich is definitely better.


Following are some tips to rev the engines of your own wealth-attracting machinery.


First, negative thoughts along with negative people have to be banished from your life. The law of attraction demands that you keep your mind focused and your goals visualized in order to realize the positive things you want our of life. Once you’ve started towards your goal to turn your life around, bystanders, friends and strangers alike, may sneer and try to discourage you. What do you do?


In spite of how they may seem at the moment, these folks are probably just trying to help – they don’t want to see you disappointed or hurt. For the most part, these folks aren’t trying to sidetrack you. They just don’t understand that in order to be successful, to be wealthy, you have to inculcate faith, desire, and perseverance into your life experience.


Early on, sidestep these folks. Once you get rolling you’ll be better able to deal with them. Encouragement from these folks? “No way!” you say. Stand back, some of these folks will be offering words of support.


Second – dream big. The universe is big, so ask of it in a big way. There’s no need to dream small. Don’t think in terms of realism. Don’t dampen your demands or dreams based on realism. Set a goal and  make it yours.


“Far-fetched” goals are often easier to reach than “realistic” goals. Many people profess wanting to be “realistic” when they set goals. There’s a lot of competition for those. Did Andy Warhol decide he was just going to be a little artist with a little gallery in New York? Probably not. Everybody wants to get by with a decent job. We know how many of those dreams turned out – poorly.


Since you’re going to be playing in an infinite universe, don’t make your dreams finite. Would you rather have lots of dollars or lots of getting by?


Your third step: Inspired action gets the reaction! Of course, sitting around contemplating your navel isn’t going to do anything except helping to better know your navel. Did you ever look at the odds on a lottery ticket? The odds are millions to one that you will hit the jackpot. About the same odds if you just sit around thinking about being rich.
