The whole world is attempting to get to you, one way or the other, with its half-truths and weird principles; so , will you be taken in, or will you discover the truth? As we enter 2012, a couple of the top articles in their class, as determined by Google, have messages that are opposite. One speaks of a mass paradigm shift, in or around 2012, that might give people the chance to choose their destiny between that which is good and that which is bad, and hopefully enough will select the correct way to bring in a new world. This conjecture is based on an esoteric article authored by a Doctorate in metaphysics. The other piece is about the Mayan prediction of the end of the world in 2012. Which are we to believe?
I decide to believe neither and I should tell you why: To believe that there’s going to be “an occurrence of mass awakening all at once in the human race” is highly not likely, considering the decades of a moral downward spiral in the world; plus, the Bible teaches the reverse. According to the Bible, this world is on a collision course with the judgment of The Lord God. That judgment is anticipated and released in the Book of Revelation.
Also, to believe some very old prophecy the world is going to end on December 22, 2012 is no more sane than believing all of the other end of the world prophecies, which have been and gone.
I do not claim to understand what will happen in 2012. But one thing is beyond doubt; we will, without doubt, be facing challenges and some may be different from anything we have known during the past. Some people think that our central government is on the verge of collapse because of the massive national debt. If that was to occur, then the economy as well as the monetary system would follow that lead. This would herald unprecedented changes in how we live, and reduce this country from its present super power standing to that of a third world country. There is no way to grasp if that will actually happen until it does, if it does. Hopefully there’ll be solutions put in place before anything on a full scale collapse could happen.
In 2012, there may continue to be war and violence around the world. The world may continue to use up all of the natural resources available, with greediness being the driving force. People will continue hunting for anything that gives a reasonable answer to what life is all about. The evolutionist may continue to say that there’s no meaning or downright truth, and a lot of people will be mislead and believe any new thing that comes along.
Actually the world could come to an end in 2012, but not as the ancient Mayans anticipated it. Only he who made heaven and earth knows when the end of the world will come. Jesus asserted, “But of that day and hour knows no person, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only”, Matthew 24:36.
Is there a reliable answer, in this arena of confusing and conflicting predictions? Or must we continue to grope in darkness like a handful of blind men making an attempt to inspect the midday day sun with a lightening bug. It looks the more ridiculous the claim is today, the more followers it gathers.
The facts, according to the only book of true predictions, which has never been wrong, the Bible, the world will pass away and the heavens also, and God will create a new heaven and a new earth, Revelation 21:1. It is true that there’s going to be a big change happen in the future, but it’s not going to be a mass paradigm shift to love and goodness, it is going to be the judgment of The Lord God on a cruel world; perhaps in 2012, but nobody but God knows when. We do have a choice today as to which side we are going to be on that has nothing to do with metaphysics. It is a matter of whether we decide to believe God or man.
As the world continues to reject God and make its own answers to all of life, God continues to give man an opportunity to turn to him for the honest truth. It is so unusual the way in which the atheists can get a thimble full of data and take from it that there is no God; there are mountains of knowledge that they don’t have a clue about. Could it be, that out there somewhere in all that information is the awareness of God? The atheist way of thinking compares to the message of the first Russian cosmonaut in space. He announced that. He could see no God. He had jumped only a miniscule hop into space and couldn’t see God? How nonsensical, in a universe measured by light years.
So what is the truth? The only reliable source for truth is the Word of God; always has been and always will be. How can one know the Bible can be trusted? The Bible can be trusted because no one has ever proven it to be wrong scientifically, historically or any other way. Read my articles on “Why I know the Bible is true”.
The Bible is awfully clear on whether we will know the facts. It says, “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”, John 8:32. The world is trying to get to you, to tug you into believing a lie. Believing a lie is a threatening thing. It can steer you away from God and his gift of never-ending life. Satan uses deceptive means to trick those easily fooled enough to believe. Actually the Scripture asserts Devil is so delicate that even the elect of God are near to being deceived.
In the world there are some tasty claims that appear to sound correct, but the Bible announces, “There is a way which seems right unto a person, but the end thereof are the ways of death”, Proverbs 14:12. Fake faiths and dogma have been about since the start of time and many have been cheated and have lost their eternal soul.
Today you can know the honest truth. Do you have a want in your heart to understand God and to discover real truth thru his Word? In this world that’s trying hard to get to you, with all its fake promises and wrong predictions and proclamations, you can discover the honest truth. Bother now and find out how to become a Christian and know God and the liberty of his truth. There’s just one way: Jesus claimed, “I am the way, the truth and the life and no man comes to the Heavenly Father but by me”, John 14:6.
