Smart goal setting is the subject I will be dealing with today. This should be an essential aspect of every person’s life, but for some unfortunate reason it’s not. It is a proven fact that if you live your life without a very well defined set of goals you will almost certainly not going to get too far.

Now, why is this goal setting so important? Because the human brain tends to react only to those things you think about the most, the things you constantly repeat to yourself.

So if we want our mind to react primarily to our goals and to the means of reaching them, we can re-educate it by putting pen to paper and re-reading these goals over and over again, until they become our main focus.

Of course this has to be doubled by starting to actually do something about that, you can’t just expect things to happen without you doing anything. But what matters is that you can repeat your target to yourself until it results in changing the way you think, and for the better.

Setting Life Goals

Think about what you want to accomplish in 3 months, in 6 months, in one year, in 10 years, create a blueprint for your life and you’re gonna see that things tend to follow the direction you give them.

But for that to happen, you need to mobilize yourself and not fall into the same trap as most people who hear about smart goal setting, acknowledge the potential of this idea, but never actually put pen to paper and let their aspirations remain distant and unattainable.

Think about it, it is your life! And you can make it perfectly fit any mold you want to. So write down a detailed description of how you want to live your life, remember to look at it regularly and take the necessary actions.

But despite its indisputable advantages, I am sure that only less than one percent of the people are seeing smart goal setting as more than just an elusive theoretical notion.

YOU should rise above the overwhelming majority!

No matter how many quality motivational trainers and personal development books are out there, the percent of real successful people will always remain somewhere below 3%.

Why?

Because laziness is a habit to most people!

It seems crazy that laziness could be the most important factor and yet it certainly is. People first start to prepare for setting their plan in motion, they keep preparing for a while and then they give up because everything just seems to difficult to pull off.

Waiting for the perfect conditions will only delay you forever. You can’t just keep postponing your actions because something else will always come up. Your first results are going to give you the confidence you need and as long as you constantly keep doing what you have to do, you will be way ahead of 99% of the people who sit and think about how it could be.

An ideal is something to strive for with every action you take.

You deserve a better life! Start living it!
