Sarah and Jerry have been married for seven years. They wanted to have some fun and excitement before they decided to have some kids and so they deliberately constructed an extremely vibrant social life.

The key difficulty, it needs to be underscored, is that almost everything they do for excitement includes drinking. As an illustration, all of the happy hours, family get-togethers, dinner engagements, sporting events, and parties with friends they spend time at have something to do with drinking.

If they were infrequent drinkers, this wouldn’t be a major issue. Given the fact that they drink rather abusively, however, they are beginning to perceive some definite alcohol-related difficulties in their lives.

Not unlike Jerry’s situation, Sarah has been feeling unhappy about things in her life and to deal with these feelings, she has been drinking more repeatedly than any time in the past four years. Not only this, but Sarah has been getting more than a few migraine headaches and experiencing dreadful hangovers due to her drinking. Lastly, Sarah has been feeling notably less active when she gets up in the morning, she has been getting to work late virtually every Monday, and she has been getting some cruel criticism from her family members, friends, relatives, and coworkers about her hazardous drinking.

Watching the Television and Inadvertently Discovering An Out-of-the-Ordinary Program About the Signs of Alcoholism

One Thursday evening while watching the television, Jerry and Sarah without any planning at all found an exciting program about the signs of alcoholism.

This TV special was a real bombshell to Jerry and Sarah because many of the alcoholism signs that were featured gave them the impression that they were indisputably related to numerous alcohol-related drinking problems Jerry and Sarah had been suffering through.

A Forthright Talk About Drinking Situations Brings to Light Alcohol Related Legal, Financial, Employment, Health, and Relationship Problems

After watching the TV documentary, Jerry and Sarah made up their minds to have a forthright dialogue about their drinking behavior. They both agreed that most, if not all, of their social activities somehow included drinking, that they were drinking in a hazardous manner, and that as a married couple, they were starting to observe alcohol related legal, financial, health, relationship, and employment problems for the first time since they were married.

With thoughts of the TV program still etched in her mind, Sarah asked Jerry if some of the alcoholism signs they have been displaying could mean that they are addicted to alcohol or conceivably becoming addicted to alcohol. Jerry didn’t know the answer to Sarah’s question and so he recommended that they schedule an appointment with one of the doctors at the local alcohol abuse rehabilitation center to find out more about the severity of their drinking difficulties.

Paradoxically, although their drinking situation hadn’t yet changed, it was clear to see that Jerry and Sarah were at the very least focusing on their drinking issues, they were willing to find out more about their drinking circumstances, and they were interested in finding out how they could significantly cut back on or eliminate the drinking-related problems that had started to emerge.

When Sarah and Jerry went to bed that night, they made up their minds that the next afternoon, Jerry would call and schedule an appointment for both of them at the alcohol abuse rehabilitation center located just East of the State Capital. After they promised one another that they would do whatever it takes to defeat the alcohol-related problems that had emerged in their lives, they in point of fact had the most revitalizing night’s sleep they could bring to mind in the last year.

Just before she fell asleep, Sarah turned to Jerry and observed how painless it is to lower one’s fear and in point of fact experience some serenity by tackling one’s problems with conviction and making up one’s mind to do something productive about them.
